The War On Our Border
I received this from a friend whose friend sent her this first hand account on what is going on at America's border with Mexico. Why is the present regime ignoring this situation?

Monday morning I found myself the only gringo, with three physicians who are licensed to practice in Mexico, Raul, Juan, and Mario. Raul directs an anesthesia training program in Matamoros, and does echocardiograms in Brownsville. Juan is the main mover as ED clerk, who also does other auditing stuff for the hospital, and Mario is a licensed RN in the US, who used to do pain management—trigger blocks, ESI's, etc, before he just gave up his $2,000/day practice several months ago because of the danger (I completely depend upon him to get a good history from patients who cannot speak English, and to give post-treatment instructions to patients, with diagnoses such as flu, diabetes, HTN, etc. I told him that I consider him a colleague, and if I had the need, I respect his abilities enough that if I needed it, he could do anything he felt capable to perform for me—a thorough professional!
Anyway, Raul related to the others that there were 120 people killed between the Matamoros barricades over the weekend, in the Tony Tormento gunfight. This drug cartel leader (capi di totti—I'm not sure whether they were trying to speak in Spanish or Italian) lived in the downtown Matamoros area, and perhaps 600 Mexican marines and support forces overwhelmed the security forces of this cartel leader, whose brother is now incarcerated in Colorado. Raul's residents told him that their trauma service in Matamoros was not involved with the care of any of these people—all were dead at the scene!
Raul also told of an operating room in Matamoros which was entered by an enforcer of one cartel, as they were working on a member of another. This enforcer ordered the OR evacuated at gun point, with an AK-47. When they left, they heard a single shot, and the enforcer left. They returned to the OR to find that their patient had been shot on the table. All three related that it could be very profitable, but also very expensive, to care for drug cartel members. If they heal the drug cartel patient, they are paid well, but if the patient is only middling, they may not pay at all. And, if the patient drug cartel member does poorly, several doctors have been killed!
There is a war on our southern border, and the Mexican government has no choice but to win! Otherwise, the drug cartels will take over large areas of Mexico bordering on Texas, NM, AZ, and CA. We simply must have a secure nation, that depends on more than body scans for seeing naked young women and frisking grandma as she rides her wheelchair through airports!
Where is the wall, BO? Where is the defense of America? Oh, right. I forgot. You're on a tour of Asia touting the accomplishments of Islam. When is America going to be his focus? I pray to God that my beloved country can make it through 2 more years to this despot! I do not want a ONE WORLD ORDER, do you?
