The Assault On Christians
With the new administration we see numerous onslaughts against Christianity and we're now seeing it in the military. First there was this;
"The monogram "IHS" – a symbol for Jesus – that appeared behind the podium where Obama spoke at Georgetown was covered up with a piece of black-painted plywood. This led to speculation that the White House had asked that all religious imagery in the hall be covered or removed, as our reader notes. But Georgetown University and the White House have said this was not a case of any kind of religious cover-up.
Then (the font ghost got me again) there was this;
"“On Good Friday we had an employee from San Diego County come to our house, and inform us that the bible study that we were having was a religious assembly, and in violation of the code in the county.” David Jones told FOX News.
“We told them this is not really a religious assembly — this is just a bible study with friends. We have a meal, we pray, that was all,” Jones said.
A few days later, the couple received a written warning that cited “unlawful use of land,” ordering them to either “stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit,” the couple’s attorney Dean Broyles told San Diego news station 10News."
...and now there is this;
"The Pentagon under the Obama Administration has just acknowledged seizing and burning the privately owned Bibles of American soldiers serving in Afghanistan. The Bibles had been printed in the local Pashto and Dari languages, and sent by private donors to American Christian soldiers and chaplains, for distribution to American troops on overseas military bases ended Christian worship services. Had the Bibles not been seized and destroyed, they could have legally been given as gifts during off‐duty time
to Afghani citizens who welcome our troops in their homes, as an expression of American gratitude for Afghani hospitality, promoting our democratic ideals of freedom of religion and freedom of the press.
Instead, the Muslim television network Al Jazeera aired a video showing American troops worshiping in the chapel on their own military base, the privately owned Bibles were confiscated and destroyed. Caving in to pressure from extremist Muslim and Atheist groups, the U.S. military spokesman Maj. Jennifer Willis told Reuters reporters, "I can now confirm that the Bibles shown on Al Jazeera's clip were, in fact, collected by the chaplains and later destroyed. They were never distributed." When questioned about the autheticity
of the video, U.S. Army Colonel Greg Julian admitted the Al Jazeera reporting was biased against the American Christians: "Most of this is taken out of context ... this is irresponsible and inappropriate journalism."
I'm left with one question; What's next?
