Typical of the Left!
"Good Riddance"
Now that we've elected a new president, it's worth reflecting for a moment on the abysmal leader we have right now. I think an issue like asking whether or not George W. Bush is the worst president we've have had gets a little too imponderable considering the historical issues. Come back in 50 years or so, and tell me that! I am positive the Iraqis would not agree with you! I mean, say what you will about Bush but unlike many American presidents he didn't believe in slavery. Obviously a victim of government schools! That said, by any kind of absolute standard the man is an appalling moral leper. He's not a good man outmatched by circumstances. And he's not a bad man getting through by cunning and pragmatism.
He's inept, a buffoon. But also perverse - reveling in the idea of inflicting death and destruction on others, avoiding military service in a was he supported when he was of the appropriate age, while claiming to envy the experience of the soldiers he's sent to be maimed or killed in a war there was no need to fight. He's presided over an incredibly rapid decline in the government's fiscal position which came about as a result of a Democrat congress that raised minimum wage, resulting in job losses, as well as the Democrat's insistence that banks offer sub-prime loans or be labeled racist! in order to funnel more money to the wealthiest Americans at a time of growing inequality. On his watch, the country suffered the most catastrophic terrorist attack in its history, and he's been relentless ever since that day in trying to turn his own inability to keep the country safe into a political bludgeon to wield against his opponents. This demonstrates a refusal to look at the record of this person's personal hero, Slick Willie Clinton, and his refusal to recognize the danger of Islamofacism and their repeated attacks on America & her holdings throughout the world! It also refuses to acknowledge that he's kept us safe for over 7 years, even after all the experts warned about repeated such attacks!
A major American city was nearly destroyed, in part because of the predictable incompetence of his clearly unqualified appointees. Bush has taken eight years' worth of time when we could have been getting a jump on our energy/climate problems not content to do nothing, Guess this moron buys into Gore's global warming bunk, but has not noticed that our temperatures are going down, not up! but fanatically determined to do everything he can to make the situation worse. Even if we act as rapidly as possible following his departure from office, tens of thousands of people will likely die as a result of his actions on this front. The tens of thousands of people will likely die as a result of his actions on this front. Sorry, but this doesn't hold up with the facts! The costs of his 2002 farm bill in terms of American public health and global poverty are beyond my ability to calculate. Again, no facts offered! One could find a redeeming feature amidst the wasteland of Bush-era policymaking, but it would be difficult. It's temping to see the horrors of the Bush administration as mostly reflecting a largely more impersonal rot - some fundamental decay of the conservative movement. But the truth is that Bush could very plausibly have been a much better president. he could have taken foreign policy advice from his Secretary of State, Colin Powell. Powell is a far cry from a conservative! He could have taken environmental policy advice from Christie Todd Whitman Ditto. He could have taken economic policy advice from Paul O'Neil. The results of an administration animated by figures like that probably wouldn't have thrilled me, but they would have been much, much better than what we got. But instead, we got what we got. Not because the political coalition of which Bush was a part was so rotten that nothing else could happen, but in large part because he was so rotten that he drove or suppressed the best elements of his coalition and spread the rot around."
Since this unsigned missive came from a neighbor, there is no way I could reply to them to their face, so I am posting this ridiculous and demonstrably false narrative, with my responses in red, here at Dagney's Rant. One or two points the author did not cover, that to me speaks volumes, are the points I had a problem with Bush on; immigration, McCain/Feingold, etc. The cowardice of the left continues to amaze me! The bottom line, and the reason for that yard sign, is my gratitude to him for keeping me and my family safe for the past 7 years!

I'm sorry this "neighbor" thinks Pres. Bush 43 is the worse we've had, I guess they weren't around for the Carter years. My only fault with Bush is he never told the public what was happening and why he did what he did. Granted the media probably wouldn't have carried his message, but it was up to him to get it out. He isn't a buffoon or any other name folks will call him. He is smart and gentle, thinking the best of others without using name calling attacks. The press said that Obama, when he visited the White House, was probably surprised to find out that Pres. Bush was a thoughtful man.
