Coward's Ball, Republicans Refuse To Dance
Now the cowardly Dumocraps, who have the ability to pass a bill in the House without GOP complicity are refusing to do so. Why? If their plan is so great, why do they insist the Republicans be on board? Hey, folks, take the credit for the "fix"!
President Bush, and future President McCain have both warned about the impending crash, Senator McCain has even proposed legislation to provide oversight for the highly flawed system. A popular e-mail that has been circulating the internet was forwarded to me by me niece. It proposes another solution for the problem, and I wrote the following back to my Republican niece;
"I am also against the bailout, but there would not be a need for a bailout
if Carter hadn't created Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac back in the 70's, which
was expanded by Clinton, and bankers were made to give loans to folks who
were credit risks. Clinton took it a step further, and said it was
"discriminatory" if you ask for proof of income or even ID! The GOP got the
Dems to at least limit such loans to a percentage of total loans, and charge
more interest for the lower the credit ratings. But cumulatively, over
time, it's brought the whole banking marketplace to its knees! How do I
know? It's why my banker husband retired when he did (he was 50, he's now
70)! As many of you may have heard him say, "they took the fun out of
banking".
We all need to tell our legislators to keep their dirty hands out of our
pockets. The President has tried 17 times
(http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/09/bush-called-for-reform-of-fannie-mae.html)
to rein in Fannie and Freddie with oversight. That was just in 2008! John
McCain proposed legislation at least 3 times, and warned for years it would
come crashing down on our heads.
Well it has. So what do we do? Indebt every tax paying family [which by
the way consists of only 40% of our population] with $225,000 (conservative
estimate, by many sources) each? No. What they should, but won't do is to
declare a moratorium on capital gains taxes, and reduce corporate taxes to
whatever the lowest corporate tax is world wide. We currently have the 2nd
highest corporate tax, worldwide! No wonder there's so little new money
coming in to American investments. And finally, institute a flat tax so
that 100% of the American working public pays tax, not just us 40%. In
Georgia, formerly of the soviet Russia's satellites, they have a flat tax of
12%, and their democratic economy is soaring...or was until Russia invaded
them for just that reason! Instead, the Democrats will do what they always
do; start class warfare, i.e., "benefits the rich". Any of you ever work
for a poor person? Only time I did was when I was self-employed!
It's easy to get your congressman and senators phone numbers. Try it.
It'll make you feel better.
Meanwhile, the Democrats, who have the majority in the House are refusing to
vote on a bill until the conservative GOPers get on board with them. If the
plan is so good, why don't they just vote it in? Hey, take the credit for
fixing things.
They won't. They're cowards, and don't want to take the
blame for saddling our families with that much debt."
So there ya go! Now you know how easy it is to get me to rant!
Since Godaddy.com is having a problem with their "insert link" for the past couple of days, I'll insert the links later. In the meantime, my rant is complete!

If our Republican representatives won't dance in DC the way we want them to, I will make them dance to my six shooter if they come through my town!
