Sarah Palin Needs To Be Extraordinary

Frankly, in my book and in McCain's, Sarah Palin is totally extraordinary already, but thanks to both the far left and far right, she's not.  To the left, she's frightening because she is everything they have championed their desire for a woman to be, successful in her own right [i.e., not married to a former president], but horror of horrors, she is pro-LIFE!  To the right, they're afraid she's not an adequate mother because her 17 year old daughter is preggers...soooooo?  Do y'all have perfect control of your teenagers?  I didn't.  As a woman who was born mere months (and it was not NINE months) after my parents were married, how can I judge or complain?

Both the right and the left are totally delusional!  Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol is a victim of the drive-by media who will only attack the child of a conservative.  [wikipecia removed their definition of "drive-by media".  Guess it came too close to home for their liberal views. So by way of explanation:  Drive-by's are the media who are like gang members who shoot the competition, but in this case, the media try to kill, via the reputation, the life of the target.] the Clintons' Chelsea, Obama's kids, Carter's Amy were all "off limits" to the drive-bys, but Cheney's daughter's choice of lifestyle, Bush's daughters illegal drinking, and Palin's daughter's pregnancy are fair game for them.

Thank God for the blogosphere and talk radio!  If Americans do not see the danger to their free speech rights, and pull the lever for Republicans in this coming election, we are headed for major trouble ahead!  Where would truth be without them.

Remember that when you go to vote this fall.

    Bravo, well said.

Sean Hannity has it right. 2008 is the year that journalism died in America. The NY Times, CNN, and the rest know who they are, have become the National Enquirer (sorry if I have offended the National Enquirer)making stories up to sell papers and reporting "rumors" as fact.

Well, how about some real facts CNN? Barack Obama had control of $50m at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and accomplished nothing for the schools of Chicago. Imagine what a field day he'll have with the U.S. budget if he gets the chance.

When are we going to hear about his affiliation with Bill Ayers on that board? This makes two boards he sat on with the terrorist Bill Ayers, Annenberg and the Woods Fund. Not just someone he hardly knows, is it?

How about doing some real investigative reporting, instead of focusing on a 17 year old girl with the usual overactive hormones.

I pray there are enough Americans, with enough brains, to see through the gutter press that is passed off as "journalism".

I cancelled my subscription to Time years ago. I suggest if anyone out there agrees with this and still subscribes to magazines or newspapers that allow this to happen they do the same. Maybe that will send a message.

I realize this reply is a little late...however, the paragraph about "...a 17 year old girl with the usual overactive hormones.", should have included "18 yr old boys" as being the same. After all it takes two to tango, or in this instance "tangle." Besides, I believe boys are more prone to tangle then girls are when given the chance, as most sexual behaviour support this as a fact. Just couldn't resist the "equal opportunity" note of fair is fair....

Hi Dagney. Politico found out that the Dems released Sarah's social security number and addresses of some of her family members. THEY ARE SCUM. I pray someone goes to jail for this.

Ya if anyone should be fired, its the reporter who wrote that. The democrats did not release Sarah Palin's social security number, and theres proof right here on an update which I'm sure you just forgot to read,

      UPDATE:

The Alaska Democratic Party says it did not release the information. From Ben Smith, at the Politico, I got this:

Our story doesn't say that "Alaska Democrats" gave us that document. It was a document prepared for Tony Knowles two years ago. We haven't revealed our source.

You should also note that it's a partially REDACTED social security number. That seems relevant. If less sensational. It's missing four digits.

      .
      .
      .

Whoever took the redacted social security numbers was working independently and you shouldn't read one headline and take it as fact. Besides, I would put the democrats political strategies next to the republicans any day to see who you should actually be calling "scum".

Lets get back to basics. Katie Couric: “I’m just going to ask you one more time – not to belabor the point.” A.) Belabor: argue or elaborate (a subject) in excessive detail: belabor the obvious. B.) Point: an argument or idea put forward by a person in discussion: he made the point that economic regulation involves controls on pricing. Was Katie Couric arguing a point, or was she asking a question? Beyond the two most recent examples of John McCain’s record, was Katie eliciting information in excessive detail, or just butchering syntax? Ms. Couric did ask for a laundry list, and Ms. Palin offered to oblige. What’s the proper response? You’re right Katie, John is an obvious fake and I’m totally clueless. D’oh! Sorry for wasting your time, but I figured you’d ask me to recite the Bush Doctrine while standing on my head. It’s moose hunting season. Come-on up to the cabin; you can see the Kremlin from the rooftop. I’ve got two wonderful new moose hats, one for both you and Charlie Gibson: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Have you ever been involved with any negotiations, for example, with the Russians? –Katie Couric

Joey, have you ever been to a Turkish prison? –Captain Oveur
