Missing The Obvious!
Saudi Arabia's past involvement in international terrorism is indisputable. While the Bush administration decided to redact 28 sensitive pages of the Joint Intelligence Report of the U.S. Congress, nonetheless, Saudi involvement in terrorist financing can be documented through materials captured by Israel in Palestinian headquarters in 2002-3. In light of this evidence, Saudi denials about terrorist funding don't hold water.
The idea of handing over $70 billion dollars every year to our enemies galls me beyond belief! Americans own stock in American oil companies; it's in our portfolios whether it is our IRA's or any other retirement fund, yet we are restricting their ability to grow their own retirements by restricting drilling our own oil! I love what Brazil has done. If you do a search on what they've accomplished, you'll find a ton of stories about their use of ethanol. That is not the secret to their success;
"Here's a clue for the semi-retired former president and policy wonk: Brazilian President Luiz Inacio "Lula" da Silva didn't celebrate the oil independence milestone out in an Amazon sugar field.
No, he smashed a champagne bottle on the spaceship-like deck of Brazil's vast P-50 oil rig in the Albacora Leste field in the deep blue Atlantic. Why? Brazil's oil independence had virtually nothing to do with its ethanol development. It came from drilling oil."
Got that, GOP candidates? It was NOT ethanol as Slick Willie would have us believe, it was DRILLING for their own oil. Now go pound your Democrat opponents into the sand! Take the leadership away from Nasty Pelosi, and it can be done. Just keep them away from your backbone, you're going to need it.
