While Obama is in Michigan, home of Detroit auto makers, he is advocating the cessation of our use of oil...a sure fire way to put Michigan into a worse recession than they are already in.  The MSM reported at the top of the hour that he was advocating "lowering our dependence on 'foreign' oil".  What he actually said was, "We must end the age of oil in our time!"  They are covering up for him, incorrectly reporting what he really said!  He and Pelosi have both blamed Bush for not tapping into our emergency oil reserve, which would basically translate to two days usage.  What do these moonbats not understand about "emergency"?

Meanwhile, Republican congressman are back on the floor of the House urging Pelosi to get off her skinny rear-end and call the House back to propose comprehensive fuel bill to include drilling HERE, drilling NOW!

Today House Republicans continue their history-making crusade to force Speaker Pelosi to reconvene Congress for a vote on the American Energy Act.

As there are no cameras on while the House is not in session (or microphones for that matter) we will be live-blogging updates throughout the day.

Pelosi ordered the cameras shut off, the microphones shut down, and as usual didn't take other methods of communications into account.  Foiled again, Nancy!  Even folks on her side of the aisle are asking "Why not an up or down vote?"  She knows she cannot keep control of Democrats if she allows it, and meanwhile she's still on this kick "we have a planet to save".  Nancy, God's in charge of the planet.  You, Madame Speaker, are in charge of the House.

This is an issue both Democrats and Republicans, even independents can agree on.  The only argument from the left is that it "will take too long", which is BUNK!  Oil prices will go down the day the legislation is passed!  It will continue to go down as we begin to drill.  It will immediately assist with unemployment numbers which Oblablah likes to point out.  Excuse me, Obama, but when you guys raised the minimum wage, we were bound to lose jobs!  It happens every time it's tried. 

The climate Nazis, with Obama's complicity, would like us to believe that oil is an enemy.  What they really are saying, is America is the enemy of the world.  Oil is the fuel of our economic engine.  The left wants to "level the playing field", which is to say, "Bring America down to third world level". 

I say we throw Pelosi, et al, out of office and bring the House and Senate back to Republican control.  Then we will have to keep better track of what they are doing, and make our voices heard when they seem to head to the dark side!  I've got their numbers on speed dial, and I won't hesitate using them.
