Ken, I worked for Dr. Haven Skogen, chief chemist for Occidental Oil, and filed the patent for in situ processing of oil shale.  It's been tried.  It works.  In fact it worked so well in the '80's that when we actually went after it, PRICE FOR OIL WENT DOWN, thereby closing the oil shale mines in Colorado.  The prices went down so thoroughly and quickly it nearly turned Grand Junction, Rifle, and DeBeque into ghost towns over night!  How dare you try to lie to Coloradoans who have lived through the 80's in Colorado?  It's what you Democraps do!  Keep Americans paying exorbitant fuel and food prices...for what?  It is time for America to wake up, and throw all of you bums out of office!
