Operation Puppy Love
As a Soldier's Angel, I've been collecting stuffed toys to send to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan for over a year. With the help of my church, my Curves clubs, and several friends in cooperation with Pennys From Heaven Foundation, we have sent hundreds of toys for our soldiers to give out to children in Iraq.
Why, you ask? Let me share a story from a soldier. He had given a teddy bear to a little girl about 5 or 6 years old. Some days later, his convoy was driving down the road and had to stop because of a little girl sitting in the middle of the road. He recognized her as being the one he'd given a teddy bear to, and went to see what the problem was. There she was, hugging her teddy bear, sitting in front of an IED! She knew they would not hurt her, but she didn't want them to be hurt.
Don't you love a Win-Win situation?

Sorry for the glitch, Carolina. I had a problem trying to publish another picture of a female soldier giving a stuffed toy to a tiny Iraqi girl, and had to call for assistance. I didn't realize they'd published the post half-completed!
