Blood Boiling Early!

Just got the coffee going, sat down to the computer to see what's news...Drudge's headline "Fever Takes London" catches my eye.  I thought "plaque"?  Maybe a germ warfare by Islamofacists (Reading too much Brad Thor)?  Instead I see this and my blood began to boil!

"BARACK Obama’s victory will put modern day America to the test.

Voters must choose between their first black leader — or their oldest President.

And the world will find out if the US has dealt with its explosive race problems.

Obama’s triumph over Hillary Clinton is the chance for genuine change in history."

To my British cousins, I have this to say, mind your own damned business.  As our revered Reverend Martin Luther King (who was a Republican, by the way) said,

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

With that thought in mind, I would love it if Dr. Condaleeza Rice were running.  Or Michael Steele, or J. C. Watts, or even the "further left than me" Colin Powell.  All have a character I could trust.  All are principled and accomplished leaders with backgrounds that lead me to trust them.  None have questionable choices of churches or friendly relationships.  None have backed foreign leaders who want to adopt Sharia law in their country.

Those points cannot be made about the far left socialist the Democrats have nominated to run for president.  You folks in London seem to have tired of the far left, as evidenced by your recent mayoral vote.  So why would you attempt to saddle America with one by invoking "white guilt"?  Keep your dadgum nose out of our politics.

The reason why Barack Obama did so well in the primaries is that he was sold to people as being on par with a Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice. That's why so many websites have people posting starry-eyed nonsense about this guy.

The truth is as you say: an accomplished black presidential candidate would take this country by storm because we all want to see that happen. The problem with Barack Obama is that he is not accomplished. He is just black.
