Really!  I'm serious.  We always knew there was something intrinsically wrong, if not insane, about liberalism.  Well Dr. Lyle Rossiter has written a book about the "liberal psychopathology"!  World Net Daily has interviewed him a number of times; one here and one here are relative. 

"Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:  creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;

• satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
  
• augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
  
• rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
  

"The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."

The imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains, etc. made pictures of Shrillary shrieking at the top of her lungs, or of Cindy Sheehan whining outside of President Bush's Texas home.  As Dr. Rossiter puts it; their neurosis becomes painfully obvious.  I'll never be able to look at the loons, moonbats, and anti-war protesting wingnuts the same way again! 

I had a friend tell me about a very different kind of protester at last weekend's "Walk For The Cure" here in San Antonio.  Recently I heard a commentator from Townhall.com address the issue of the Susan B. Kolmen cancer foundation donating money to Planned Parenthood (don't look for a link at this blog!).  Apparently there were many many folks from my side of the aisle who heard the same thing, and were out in force to demonstrate their pro-life displeasure for the cancer foundation's support of PP.  None of the above "neuroses" described above was visible, according to my friend who participated in the walk.  They were respectful, quiet, holding signs. 

Bottom line:  Conservatism = Sanity.  Liberalism = Insanity.
