Dissecting Obama's Speech

All over the news yesterday, we heard snippets of Obama's speech, but not once did any of those snippets notice the real message of his speech.  When you get past his refusal to disown his racist minister, and his ridiculous likening of Geraldine Ferraro to the hate-monger minister, Dr. Jeremiah Wright, you get down to the nitty-gritty message of the speech, which is "Socialism will fix it all".  For instance;

"But we do need to remind ourselves that so many of the disparities that exist in the African-American community today can be directly traced to inequalities passed on from an earlier generation that suffered under the brutal legacy of slavery and Jim Crow."

To a socialist like Obama or Shrillary Clinton "inequalities" can only be fixed by "leveling the playing field".  That means, if you have more than someone else, we will take some of what you have and give it to the lazy bum with less to "level the playing field".  He goes on;

"Legalized discrimination - where blacks were prevented, often through violence, from owning property, or loans were not granted to African-American business owners, or black homeowners could not access FHA mortgages, or blacks were excluded from unions, or the police force, or fire departments - meant that black families could not amass any meaningful wealth to bequeath to future generations. That history helps explain the wealth and income gap between black and white, and the concentrated pockets of poverty that persists in so many of today's urban and rural communities. "

There was a time when America had "legalized discrimination", but all one needs to do is read Clarence Thomas' book to see the strength and resiliency of black families in those days.  Today, laws have changed and discrimination based on ANY criteria is illegal.  The "concentrated pockets of poverty" are areas where welfare mentality is entrenched along with drugs and gangs.  First came welfare, and drugs and gangs followed.  The family fell apart when ADC was instituted.  You could not collect welfare if you were married.  Violence & drugs, not lack of funding,   prevents adequate schooling.  Lack of schooling perpetuates the whole mess!

"In fact, a similar anger exists within segments of the white community. Most working- and middle-class white Americans don't feel that they have been particularly privileged by their race. Their experience is the immigrant experience - as far as they're concerned, no one's handed them anything, they've built it from scratch. [On this, I can agree]  They've worked hard all their lives, many times only to see their jobs shipped overseas or their pension dumped after a lifetime of labor."

Here, Obama is blaming "rich white men", or business owners, rather than the unions & confiscatory taxes and regulations on businesses!   Contrast Obama's message to Dr. Martin Luther King

"But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and security of justice.  We have also come to his hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children."  [emphasis mine]

Dr. King dreamt of a day when his children and grandchildren would be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.  His dream is being realized in America, but people like Obama, his pastor, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton refuse to admit it.  They make too much money by refusing to admit it.
