I heard a caller on Sean Hannity's show (talking to the guest host) saying he thought Benazir Bhutto (her official website is on overload at this point in time, or I'd include that link) was being "swiftboated", and it occurred to me that we need to define the term, Swift Boat'ing. 

If Benazir Bhutto was being swiftboated by the drive-by media, they would be talking about the fact that she had been thrown out of office two times due to corruption.  That's not what they've been doing, however.  Instead, she's been lifted to some sort of sainthood.  Granted, she was pro-western and we ( Western politicians) had high hopes for her future presidency. 

So what would the Swift Boat definition be?  In the case of Benazir Bhutto, it would be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, which is what is meant by "swift-boating" in my opinion.  Thank God the truth about John F'ing sKerry's so-called military service came out and the public was edified. 

In the world of politics, no matter the country, the truth matters not.  To the electorate, the PEOPLE, the truth still matters.  That is the real meaning of swiftboating!
