Logic 101

Every time I hear statements that include "emits carbon dioxide" as a reason not to use it, not to allow it, not to perpetuate it's use, or to kill any plans having to do with carbon dioxide emitting anything, I always think, "Wait!  I, as a human being, exhale carbon dioxide...or was Mr. Skeel in sophomore biology wrong?".  It was likely prompted by the little logic question I have on a bumper sticker on my car's back window.  It reads, "If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words?"  One thing in my pea brain led to another, and I ran down a mental list of the sorts of dichotomies hypocrisies of the left.  Try to make logic of these:

Why is it okay to kill unborn babies, but it's not okay to put convicted murderers to death?

Why is it okay for criminals to get guns illegally, but bad for law-abiding citizens to get guns legally?  (2nd Amendment link from NRA)

Why is it okay for wild life in over-populated areas to die of starvation, but not okay for hunters to cull the herd?

Why is it bad for bloggers, talk show hosts & other “new media” sources to have uncensored, unregulated access to the public, but good for journalists with obvious to have the same freedoms to spew their lies and agenda driven blather? (link at Rush’s site)

Why is it okay to trot out actual phony soldiers, (i.e. those who say they have been to Iraq, and turn out to have been washed out of the Army in boot camp & never went to a theater of war), but if someone points out they are “phony soldiers”, the left goes crazy and swears you just insulted the entire military?

Why on earth would someone (mostly liberals) suggest that the U. S. Gov't. should run national health care, when the same government has already bankrupted Social Security & Medicare?  Meanwhile, the same people who advocate it, are the ones who complained about the handling of Katrina relief?  Do they not understand that it matters not who is in the White House, the government is being run by long-time bureaucraps?  Again, where's the logic?

Oh yeah, I forgot!  Logic died in America circa 1963, but was not buried until 1973
