Interesting Views From The Left...And The Right
"Hillary represents change?!! That is a good one Bill.
Clinton is the least electable of the democrats. She has the highest negatives (50% of americans say the would not vote for her), she would galvinzied the evagenlicals, and she cannot win independent voters. The Republicans want Hillary to win as much as we would wnat Hucabee to win.
I remind you JFK had little experience before he became President. The main thing a President has to do is surround himself with good peoplet hat offer good advice. Clinton definitely did not do that when she managed to voter for the Iraq War and Iran Resolution."
I would say approximately 70% were anti-Shrillary...Surprise #1. Number 2 was the lack of vitriol that usually accompanies lefty comments. What was NOT a surprise to me was "as much as we would wnat Hucabee to win". Overlooking the usual lack of English skills from the left, having Huckabee as our candidate is a sure way to get a donk back into the White House.
This Huckabee surge in recent days has been disturbing to me. I was one of those who said, "hmmm...now this guy is likable, and he sounds like a bonafide conservative." But from the moment he advocated closing gitmo, and his opposition to waterboarding, I started listening more closely to his viewpoints, and am increasingly willing to wage a "no to Huckabee" campaign. On Friday, Dr. Bennett mentioned on his radio program that Huckabee was for school vouchers, but only for public schools! WHAT? Take your kid from one indoctrination center to another? Defeats the purpose of getting an actual education, don't you think? Huckabee was originally touted as the only "real" conservative, but closer examination reveals he sounds more like John Edwards than Ronald Reagan! Judging for other calls to Bill Bennett's radio show, I'm not the only one disillusioned by the former Governor of Arkansas. That, in and of itself, should have sent up warning flags, but his positions and his record of raising taxes in Arkansas are the REAL flags. Pay attention, conservatives. This is NOT our guy!

The races on both sides are getting very interesting, aren't they?
Hillary no longer looks unbeatable. She and her campaign staff are starting to show signs of panic.
On the GOP side, Huckabee has come from nowhere to change the dynamics.
I agree with you 100% that if Huckabee somehow wins the nomination we can kiss the election goodbye. Hillary or Obama, I'm not so sure. Hillary has high negatives, but let's not underestimate her. Obama I'm not so sure about. He's a Jimmy Carter liberal, but does have trememdous personal appeal. It's hard to say how he'd play nationally.
