Meet A Hero & A New American

I want you to meet an American hero...and a brand-new American, at that!  Spc. Guerrero came to America from Columbia, legally I might add, to fight for what he calls "real freedom", something he could not do in the Army of his home country.  He felt strongly about our American struggle against terrorism after his cousin was killed in Iraq.

I bring up this soldier's story for a couple of reasons.  The first and foremost is that I am proud to call him my friend, but also because I want to point out a recent congressional lie. The DREAM Act has been portrayed as a means to allow immigrants to become citizens.  That is such an obvious (at least, to me) and blatant lie, and I know because I helped this young man track down his citizenship application [A HUGE Thank You to Senator John Cornyn's and Chet Edward's offices!] Our military already gets preferential treatment, so don't let them sneak this through, folks!  I heard one of our own, Trent Lott, try to use this justification for this amnesty legislation while on an interview with Glenn Beck, and I was FURIOUS!  This is exactly the kind of subterfuge our own employees, and YES, the legislatures are OUR employees, remember folks?  We have the power to hire and fire them when we go to vote.  Remember that the next time you go to vote.  Also, remember the ones who have called our soldiers torturers, murderers, and terrorizers...and vote accordingly, my fellow Americans!

This hero, that you see with the children in this picture, wants me to share this link with y'all.  Grab a tissue, and enjoy.

See, I told you when I came back, it would be with a vengeance!  Missed y'all, thanks for all of your heartfelt sympathy at the death of my brother.  He will be missed by more people than most anyone I know.

    Dear Dagney,

I'm so sorry. I did not know. I pray he is with God and too busy to even think about all this petty stuff now.

Now as to this petty stuff, GREAT POST! It is a good thing you did by helping these people. I know (and they know) that there are legal ways to do things around here. If only our republic would remember that words means things, and illegal means simply that--illegal. Good on you, and thank God for them!
