Bollinger's Bomb

The outrage over Bollinger's remarks became a subject on the comments section of ITM today.  As I wrote there;

"The outrage over Columbia's Bollinger's decision to invite Ahmanutjob was so intense that alumni and government entities were threatening to pull his funding. That is the ONLY reason for the rude and sarcastic introduction given Ahmanutjob! The problem is, the damage was done the minute he got in front of a camera, and applause began. The Arab spin machine, a.k.a. media, will use this to produce more media bombs against America and our troops in harm's way. There is no excuse for the weapon they just handed our enemies!"

Bollinger's response was insulting and abusive, rightly so, to Ahmadinejad.  It meant nothing in the long term.  The bottom line was the BOMB Bollinger allowed to be launched on our troops and homeland.  As I stated in my last post, Bollinger's rhetoric was made solely to appease his funding entities.  I got further verification from my friend Tom The Redhunter in this link.  Columbia University TEACHES anti-semitic viewpoints.  Bollinger had to try to appease his funding base by way of his introduction.  It did not disarm the damage he'd already done by giving this Ahmanutjob a world wide podium.

It does not negate the media bombs being exploded all over the world's media.  Like it or not, we are in a war, and one of the weapons our enemies are using against us is in the media...and so far, they are winning!  And they know it!

As one of my fellow commenters on ITM told me via comments;

"DAGNEY T, I couldn't agree more! when I saw the BBC brodcast of this I nearly puked! Not just in the middle east is the propaganda machine spinning this but the european press as well! with only breif mention made of the anti ahmadinijad protests outside they instead choose to focus on some nut jobs in the crowd with anti bush signs! like it was a anti bush rally or somthing! BUSH WASN'T EVEN THERE!

    Thank you for the link, Dagney

    Yes, I agree that Bollinger realized that he'd blown it when alumni threatened to cut off funds. Whether he meant it or not in his speech is between him and God

      Tom, I'm not sure he believes there IS a God! Whether or not he does, he'll have to deal with Him at some point.

    I'm not completely sure that Columbia should be allowed to host a person who has killed American soldiers. But if they do have the freedom to do so, I certainly should be free to NOT give them money. Every single dime of government assistance should be immediately withdrawn from this organzation. Unfortunately, Democrats are in charge, and they LIKE him -- so I don't see any funding getting reduced at all.
