Sally Field and Motherhood
When you played "Sybil", I was stunned at your acting prowess.
When you played Forrest Gump's protective and caring mom, I was charmed and fortified by your strength.
Then you showed up on the Emmy's last night...I think it was last night because I do not watch anything "Hollyweird" anymore. You were censored at a crucial point, which I totally disagreed with...especially since I believe you Hollyweirdos need to be shown to be who you really are!
Yep, they cut you off so you could not finish your sentence "if mothers ruled the world there would be no 'GD' wars!" Really, Sally? What about Palestinian/Syrian/Iranian mothers who raise their children to don an explosive belt, and encourage them to blow up infidels?
Sally, I do not want mothers, even though I am a mother and a grandmother, to run/rule the world. I want sanity and logic to rule the world. Our founding fathers had the best formula, and I pray that Americans insist we return to that sanity.
As Golda Meir said many years ago, "until Muslim mothers love their children more than they hate Jews (i.e., any non-muslim), there will be no peace."
Sorry, my faithful readers, I am not going to link to anything tonight. I'm being lazy...though if you read my last post, there is more to my mood than laziness.
