My Apologies

I have been so busy with the real life problems of our wounded warriors, that I've not posted as often as I would like to post.  Between a wounded warrior's fight to become a legitimate citizen of our great nation, and our coalition soldier, who I have blogged on before, getting things done is paramount, as opposed to blogging.  I've learned that there are some Congressmen, or at least their employees, who are worth our vote.  Congressman John Carter's Temple, TX office assures me that they've located Jaime's application for citizenship, and are proceeding to accelerate the process for this hero, who was severly wounded serving our country, to become a citizen.  Once that is accomplished, we can start to work on bringing his wife from Colombia.

I spoke last night with another Hero I've blogged about before here.  Come back when you've read that one, so I can continue to tell you where he's at today.  Hum-dee-hum de dum....  There now, Sgt. Ron today is in danger of losing his home.  He cannot return to work, so severe are his injuries, but the VA tells him he is "not wounded enough!"  WHAT?  No, really.  That's what they told him!  I'm so furious I can hardly see straight!  As you read, before he was called up to fight for our country he had a thriving business doing six figure business a year, and now he's in danger of losing his home.  If his legs had been blown off, rather than just being so damaged he can hardly walk, he'd have no worries.  There is just something very WRONG about this, would you agree?

    Dear Dagney,
I'm sorry to that I've heard of this happening before to someone else. I'll bet there are many of our wounded heroes out there that have no one to reach out to and nowhere to turn.

What do say we get together and shake up some senators and congressmen? We could also do more, but it seems as though I'm doing too much as it is. That's why I'm moving all my sites into one. That's it. I've had it! Let me know...

Rosemary, believe it or not, I've been on the phone today with Rep. Carter's office and Sen. Cornyn's office...no, I didn't call them, they called me! I'm a strong proponent of the theory "the squeaky wheel gets the oil."
