Our Missing Troops

When I first heard about the missing 3 soldiers, I was making our bed.  All I could do was fall to my knees and pray that the Lord would send an angel, as he did when St. Paul was imprisoned, and free them.  After two (3?) days of praying, I was in church yesterday and felt the need to open the pew Bible.  As I did, it fell open to Psalms 140.  The first two words in the pew Bible were "Rescue me".....and I knew the Lord was telling me he'd heard my prayers.  In my own Bible, the first two words are "Deliver me", same thing, but the reassurance that He'd heard me was worth my weight in gold to me.

Now that Al Qaeda has stated that they are "holding" our soldiers, and to stop looking for them, yet not showing any pictures of said captives, I am convinced that they know that we do not leave our soldiers, or their bodies behind during or after a battle, and they may have taken three of the bodies of the soldiers after their attack on their watch post! Why have they not shown pictures of them on the same website?  If they were alive, they'd be showing our guys pictures on the same site.  These are the evil mufsidun who booby-trap a baby's body with explosives, and return the baby's body to the family.  Their hirabah is not jihad, our muslim friends.

God bless you, Dagney, and keep praying. Believe with 100% of your being that they will be found and alive at that, and they will be. But you must believe it.

Amen, Dagney! It is such a blessing to know you've been heard in the Throne Room.
Your post has encouraged me to continue to ask for a rescue. Last week, I read a post about a telephone conversation with a Mufsidun leader one of our troops had. He was quoted as saying that he no longer knew why he was doing what he was doing (as one of the Mufsidun).
I'm asking that an Iraqi step up like they did with Jessica Lynch. Just another baby step in the Right direction.

The power of prayer is not to be underestimated.

It is situations like this one that remind us of just how evil an enemy we are fighting.
