RINOs Are Whining!
βIt was very healthy,β said Representative John A. Boehner of Ohio, the House Republican leader, who attended but let the moderates do most of the talking."
Is this your way of "balking" Mr. Boehner? Sounds like the squawking of a chicken who doesn't want to be mistaken as a RINO! I'm sure the President was as pleasant as usual in his reception of you turncoats!
"Lawmakers said Mr. Bush made no commitments, but seemed grateful for their support and said a precipitous withdrawal from Iraq could cause the sort of chaos that occurred in Southeast Asia after Americans left Vietnam. The lawmakers said that Mr. Bush and others at the meeting β including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, the political adviser Karl Rove and National Security Adviser Stephen J. Hadley β appeared to appreciate the political reality facing Republicans who will be on the ballot next year."
Was that really the press recognizing that Bush is not up for re-election? They need to tell their pals who are running for President that they don't need to campaign against Bush as they've been doing for weeks. Here's the rest of the list trying to tap dance around their woosiness:
"The delegation included Representatives Mark Kirk of Illinois, another leader of the moderate coalition; Jim Gerlach of Pennsylvania; James T. Walsh of New York; and Jo Ann Emerson of Missouri. Mr. Kirk, Mr. Walsh and Ms. Emerson declined to discuss the meeting."
So you've come under fire for supporting the President on Iraq, have you? Have you verified those who are calling, e-mailing, and faxing their displeasure are actually your constituents? Do you know if they are registered voters? Do they even live in your state? My guess is a resounding NO! The left-wing Democrat organization and coordination that Tom Delay warned about in his recent book "No Defeat, No Surrender" is capable of tying up your phone lines, people! The moveon.org moonbats of the left are quite capable of rounding up their retired baby boomer hippies and trust-fund babies with nothing better to do than to make like activists who take responsibility for getting us out of Iraq, and making those calls to your so-called "moderate Republican" offices. The moonbats and socialists of the left know a moderate is someone who cannot take a stand. Moderates, by definition, straddle a line and cannot make a decision that might be seen as "tough", which is why there is no such thing as any book entitled "Outstanding Moderates In America".
My suggestion to you folks is to actually find out if the calls are legitimate. If they are, I further suggest that you inform your actual constituents of all of the strides we're making in Iraq about which they should be educating themselves. Then I ask you to please either stand up and be a Republican, or change parties...and see how long you stay in office when you do that! Conservatives WIN elections, why do you think Rahm Emmanuel put out the call for conservative Democrats to go up against the likes of you? Guess who won...or did you not realize you are now in the minority?

Amen!
