Idol Gives Back...To Whom?
For that matter, how about the money for the Katrina victims? Where is the accountability? There was none then, and my bet is there is none now. Here is why I think that;
"Who is Charity Projects Entertainment Fund and/or what do they do?
-
Charity Projects Entertainment Fund is a new, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) U.S. charitable organization established to raise money and awareness for children and young people living in poverty and at risk in the U.S. and Africa. By teaming up with American Idol, it aims to use the power of entertainment to deliver social benefits to some of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people in the world. The money raised by Idol Gives Back will benefit children and young people in the U.S. and Africa. Information about CPEF, including a request for a copy of its financial statements, can be obtained through its website, www.cpefund.org. "
Going to www.cpefund.org I found it to be an inactive link...so where is the money collected tonight going? Who knows. I prefer to give my money to churches in the areas most effected, not to some Hollywierdos who believe they can "change" things! I KNOW churces where the Lord rules can change lives. Do I believe these folks can? Sorry, I'm not convinced.

Is this when they had that big to-do all the entertainers a little while after 9/11? I didn't even bother watching.
I did not, will not, give to the Red Cross either. I'd really like to get my hands on those books. Being an accountant, I bet I could find where the money went...or not!

Rosemary, keep checking that link. If you get a chance to look at the books, blog us the truth. This is nothing more than "feel good" exercise that leads to corruption!
