This Poem Says It All

I asked for, and received permission to publish this poem.  The author is a talented writer of both prose and poetry, and I wanted to share her work here.  Thank you, Laura.

A GROWING EVIL   Written by Laura Sparling

An evil grows strong and bold in the East
Waiting for our brave troops to be fleeced
By weak kneed liberals who want to inject
Anti-God views to be politically correct.

Everyone is protected or so they like to scream
Except Christians, Patriots or Conservatives it
 seems.
If you burn our flag or like to spew hate
They’ll put you on the media and tell you you’re
 great.

No hero talk or money for defense
No public Christian prayers or pledge of allegiance.
They want our brave troops to come home and cower
Sacrificing all so they can get power.

Since she’s been Speaker Pelosi’s gone wild
Running around in defiance like a spoiled child.
Parading around pretending to be a diplomat
The only thing she’s spread was a large cowpat.

On the daytime television is a loud mouthed cow
Spouting Anti-American hate like a Hollywood prow.
Inventing conspiracy theories she has flipped her
 lid
Using less intelligence than a dead squid.

Maybe it’s time to give Rosie a new home.
How about in the middle of Iran with a megaphone?
Perhaps then she will realize that evil exists
Or maybe we should just consult with an exorcist.

Planes have gone down and towers did fall
For some reason they’re forgetting it all.
Fifteen were taken without firing a shot
Held for two weeks by an Iranian crackpot.

History it seems is beginning to repeat.
I pray, Dear Lord, it won’t be our defeat.
Where are the leaders like Reagan and Churchill
Who don’t play the media like an act in vaudeville?

God Bless Our Troops who are brave and true
Giving their lives to protect freedom for you.
May God keep them safe and know that we love them.
May our country wake up and end Mid Eastern mayhem.
