In my last post, I make the point that Chuckie Schumer doesn't care one whit about the American people, and now another lefty Democrat proves that not many of them even care about the security of our country. 

"Rep. Henry A. Waxman, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, might ask White House officials to testify about their actions involving the CIA leak case, Democratic sources tell Politico. 

President Bush has resisted past calls for appearances by his advisers, so the request could provoke another showdown between the White House and the new Democratic Congress. 

Valerie Plame, the former CIA operative at the center of the case that led to last week’s conviction of former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, will be the star witness when Waxman holds a hearing Friday into “whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding” her identity. "

Besides the fact that Valerie Plame was NOT undercover, and despite the fact there are some real security leaks they should be checking out, the pig-faced Waxman wants to tie up the administration in ridiculous hearings.  There are so many more important matters they should be checking into, like the truth of what & why Sandy Burglar stole documents from the National Archives, for one.  How about the real leaks that actually hurt our national security like the leaking of banking traces of terrorist monies, and terrorist call tracing program some unknown leaked to the New York Slime?  I've linked these stories here, if you are unfamiliar with my references.

It is clear that lefty donks are more concerned with discrediting the war and President Bush than they are with the real security issues we face in America.  The only upside I can see to all of their machinations is that they are too busy with BS to raise taxes.
