Is It Just Me?
I admit hubby and I sat here and laughed when we read this on Drudge, but I really am torn between the obvious humor of a Senate vote being called off due to 1" of snow...and the fact that the vote had to do with global warming! It's not difficult to laugh at, right? On a more serious note, however, is it not a bit scary having this group of mental midgets in charge of your country?
"WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 2007
Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality Hearing on "Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a
Warming of the Planet?"
10:00 a.m. in room 2322 Rayburn House Office Building
Witness List "
We really need to do something about the air in Washington D.C. We send seemingly bright individuals there to legislate for us, to be our representatives. Once they arrive their brains seem to turn to mush, and their spines (particularly the Republican ones) turn to jello. I guess we have to laugh, or we'd go crazy, right?

The irony of that is breathtaking.

Ok so we're a bunch of wimps here in the nation's capital! It is amazing though, one or two inches and everything shuts down.
But I guess it's all relative. When you only get a few snows a year, there's no reason to take any risks. One child gets hurt and the lawsuits would be tremendous.
But yes, the bit about the global warming alarmists having to shut down their hearing due to snow is just too good...
