Yep!  It's true!  Politicians are like diapers.  They need to be changed often, and for the same reason.  My mother told me that she'd asked her mom what did "politics" mean?  Grandma told her, "It's a dirty word."

As the GOP-dominated congress take their leave, they have left undone many things, including making tax cuts permanent, ridding us of the death tax, not addressing off-shore drilling, not passing defense funding, and countless other unfinished business.  It is really too bad that we did not rid ourselves of the entire group of spineless and gutless wonders known as "Republicans" currently in Washington.  At this point in time, I am more disgusted with Republicans than I am the ultra-libs such as Pelosi, Reid, et al.  At least they are predictable.  They [GOP] had their chance, and they failed miserably. 

The Iraq Surrender Group's report's call for "consensus" was bad enough, but the failure of the GOP's lack of leadership was more egregious.  Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's definition of "consensus" was "a lack of leadership".  Frist's decision to exit the '08 presidential run was simply his understanding that he had failed to LEAD.  He was just one of many GOPers who failed. 

Shame on you, Republicans.  You have let down your voters, and that includes my own two senators; John Cornyn and Kay Bailey-Hutchison.  You're as woosie as the ISG, and you deserve to be replaced.  You're all worthless.
