Donks Seem To Be Mistaken

As upset as I was at overestimating the American voter (or at least the 40% who voted), I'm actually finding it rather comical to watch how the extreme left is puffing out their proverbial chests and crowing like cocks as though somehow liberalism beat conservatism on November 7th.  It's okay, though, to let them "out" themselves.

Take Nancy Pelosi, for instance.  Instead of walking the middle road, the one that beat the profligate spenders of the GOP, Pelooser is backing Abscam Murtha.  I loved what Dick Morris had to say about it;

"House Speaker-to-be Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) showed that she is determined to hijack an election won by Democratic moderates and interpret it as a mandate for the extreme left. Her support of Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) for majority leader signals that she values ideology over cohesiveness.

Murtha’s rival, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) is a moderate who can work to smooth out Pelosi’s rough edges. But Pelosi apparently doesn’t want to be smoothed. She would rather be the Madame Lafarge of the House, knitting an extra stitch for each swipe of the guillotine as it slices off the heads of the very moderates who made her Speaker."

So many of the Donks have been crowing for a week that the American people have "spoken", and it was a condemnation of President Bush's war policies.  Hmmm...that's funny.  I was at the Fisher House today for a volunteer meeting.  The volunteer coordinator has more volunteers than she knows what to do with.  Nearly every weekend in the month of December, and many mid-week evenings are taken up with companies and groups (church, VFW, etc.) who want to provide a big dinner for the House's residents.

As a Soldiers Angel, I was assigned this Fisher House for a Christmas project.  We were given a list of things to provide the Fisher House for Christmas.  I showed the manager Inga the list the Soldiers Angels had given me.  She looked it over, carefully considered each item, and concluded with the volunteer coordinator that there was NOTHING on the list that they were not already overloaded with!

The truth is, liberalism played no part of the Democrat win on Nov. 7.  Neither was the war, though there is much concern for our troops over there.  The vote was a vote of frustration for a party that lost its way.  It was a combination of frustration about the profligate spending, the weakness of the leadership of the GOP, and their refusal to guard our borders.  Watching the left become giddy about their "triumph" makes me chuckle, and tells  Americans who they truly are...liberal moonbats!
