You disappear!  Yes Sir, that is what all good politicians, and all bad businessmen do when they do not have the guts to face the music.  Mr. Murtha, for instance;

"Last week, we began our 21-part series, 'Why doesn't Jack want to debate?' wherein I suggest 21 reasons Jack Murtha might be refusing to debate me in public.

"Today I offer reason number 11 Jack Murtha is scared to debate me: because HE DOESN'T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW THAT HE VOTED AGAINST THE 'SECURE FENCE ACT OF 2006 - THE BILL THE PRESIDENT SIGNED INTO LAW THIS VERY MORNING.'

Then there's Rick Santorum's opponent Casey.  He has refused debate after debate and hides behind his father's name.  Senator Santorum, a class act already in the Senate, does not publicize Casey's cowardice on his site.

Then there's Ben Cardin's absence at the NAACP's debate.  His excuse?  He had "other plans".  There's still a chance though;

"Cardin campaign spokesman Oren Shur said that a scheduling conflict prevented the 10-term congressman from attending the debate at New Community Church of God in Christ in Waldorf.
    "He's campaigning at community events in Prince George's County tonight and has accepted an invitation to debate at the statewide NAACP conference [in Baltimore] on Saturday," Mr. Shur said. "We expect to see Michael Steele there."
    Mr. Steele said last night that he would try to adjust his schedule to be there."
 
Mr. Steele told Sean Hannity this afternoon that he's planning to be there...wonder if Cardin will skip the next one too?

On a personal note, I recently made the mistake of referring to a cowardly business owner by calling him "a$$hole".  For that unpardonable sin, I was forbidden to use my purchased and paid for "pass" to his car wash.  Okay.  Alright.  I was rude.  I'll accept that I should not have called the a-hole that name.  So fine.  Now where is my rebate for the unused amount?  "I'll send a check"...I get the check...it's unsigned.  I've yet to see the man's face.  So far, his way of dealing with me is by proxy.  The sweet young man who used to wash may car was sent to tell me the bad news (I'm sure he's missing his tips!).  A young female called to say I'd be receiving a check in the mail.  He's as bad as the above mentioned candidates.  Just cannot face the music!
