Just Home, And Armed To The Teeth!
The same theory seems to hold true on the availability of newspapers. We all know the profound left leaning of most newspapers, but hubby informed me that the Las Vegas Sun was "THE MOST" liberal paper he's read in any city we've visited recently. I'll have an example for you when I've had a chance to catch up on a little thing called sleep.
The same withholding theory held sway over the hotel's internet connection as well. We have never been to a hotel in California, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania or Florida (our most recent trips) that did not have wireless access available free. As my pal of 40+ years (whose wedding I went to attend) explained to me, "Nothing in Vegas is free." I did pay for 24 hours, but found myself "otherwise occupied" for most of that time, so apparently their theory works.
Truth be told, lots of reminiscing was accomplished. Little gambling was found to be necessary to keep me amused. While I was spending time with my "big brothers" who "raised" me; taught me to drive, surf, care about people and friendship...and even (blush) to french kiss, there seemed to be little reason to feed the Las Vegas money machine.
See y'all tomorrow....yawn.

I'm just so grateful you made it there and back alright.

Dagney...
The reasons you bring up were the reasons I was wanting to stay in the Hawthorn Suites back in August...but with it being MajorMom's first trip to Las Vegas, felt she should have the full experience by staying in a casino hotel. I can't remember if the Imperial Palace had FoxNews or not now that I come to think of it. I wonder if Treasure Island's got it...since they comp'd me a couple of nights for my "superior" play. (Yeah, right...must have just been lucky.)
Glad to have you back...and in the land of reasonably priced wireless!
