The Elephant In The Room? Or The Donkey?
"Connecticut Rep. Christopher Shays made the remark when Kennedy came to his state to campaign for opponent Diane Farrell, who called on House Speaker Dennis Hastert to resign, the Hartford Courant reported.
"I know the speaker didn't go over a bridge and leave a young person in the water, and then have a press conference the next day," said Shays.
"Dennis Hastert didn't kill anybody," he added."
For many years, Teddy (hic) Kennedy's fiasco at Chappaquiddick resulting in the death of Mary Jane Kopechne has been the unspoken, unnoticed "elephant" in the room. It's long been known that in order to interview the "lion" of the senate, a journalist must never mention the "incident" wherein the young woman died. The sense of frustration with the left's hypocrisy boiled over in Connecticut this past week. As the saying goes, "the truth will out....". For an Easterner to actually bring up the death of the young woman speaks volumes to the ongoing hypocrisy of the left.
As for Harold Ford, the "born again" conservative, Transparency News has this to say;
"Just yesterday ABC News had a piece entitled "Tenn. Republicans Praise Democrat Ford's Campaign". This article is filled with so much falseness and twisting, it's disgusting. One section states that because of George W. Bush's "low" approval ratings, one of the fundraisers were off-limits to reporters and cameras. What a joke. Another part describes an RNC ad about border security. Of course they forget about the whole point of the ad (HAROLD FORD HAS VOTED FOUR TIMES AGAINST BORDER SECURITY) and play the race card. So typical. To only attack and not propose any solutions.
Harold Ford comes from a family that is riddled with controversy and scandals. If asked about it, he simply says that we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water. But while he traverses the state with Bill Clinton-type love and warmth, his actions say differently. We all know, that ACTIONS speak LOUDER than WORDS. There are just odd things about Congressman Ford that go directly against what he's been campaigning. He says that Iraq needs more troops and more money, yet he voted AGAINST the Patriot Act. Ford said something about being a lawyer, yet he never passed the bar. There are just weird "popularity" moves that are made by his campaign that have all the signs of WORDS and NOT any actions."
There never seems to be an end to Democrat's long unending story of hypocrisy!

And the point is...? The Democrats are hypocrits? Duh. They lie? Duh. They want to cut and run? Duh. But I really liked the part about Shay's. Too bad I don't him either. lol. (Campaign finance reform...)
