Double Standard Strikes Again!
Why is it? When a dumocrap screws up in his personal life, the left says, "Hey, it's his life! Stay out of it!" Then when someone on the right screws up BIG TIME, and resigns in shame (as it should be), the left continues to scream bloody murder?

There's no doubt that Foley crossed the line and should have resigned. I'm a little taken aback though by the fact that this information was known throughout the House...and it took the time it did to come to light. I suppose that taking the story public at this point just goes to show that "they" felt that this information would better serve "their" cause several weeks before the mid-term elections. I suppose that Foley's seat will now either go to the Democrat running for it or some suitable "write in" candidate. Not sure what the rules are in Florida...but if they're anything like the ones here in Texas, it's far too late to replace Foley's name on the ballot.
Politics aside, if Democrats knew this...and were going to do something about it, why didn't they try to "save" the child in question? Do they choose their timing only on the basis of politcally expediancy?
Bottom line, this guy had to go. And he did. Second bottom line, if ANYONE in the Republican leadership knew about it (that includes ALL Republicans) or even on the Democratic side...holding this information like a hammer over Foley's head was WRONG!
