This misleading headline, Tiger Woods furious over wife's "topless" photos, and the reprehensible story is going to backfire on the Dubliner! I don't write about this particular love of mine (golf) very often, but the Ryder Cup is a special case, and pointing out media stupidity is one of my favorite things to do!  It began by suggesting the American golfers should have left their wives at home because many had what the piece says was "a problem keeping their clothes on in public".

Did the brain trust running this Irish publication really believe that utterly infuriating the entire American team would cause them to lose?  I don't know if these mental midgets understand the realities about Americans.  If you piss us off, and give us a cause to come together, you have created your own worst nightmare!  Here are a few facts you seem to have overlooked before you went to press:

1)  Golfers, by definition of their game, play a sport which rarely requires team spirit.  They play for themselves, and they play to win. 

2)  American men in general do not take kindly to outsiders denigrating their life partners.  In this case, you can make a joke about their caddies without raising too much ire, but NOT their wives!

3)  In the past, it has been a bit of a chore to get our American team to "play nice together" as a team. 

Are you getting the picture?  Do you have a bit of a grasp on what you have done for our team in the upcoming match?  No?  Okay, let me explain.  You have given them a reason to come together, as you have stupidly attacked ALL of their wives. 

From the bottom of my heart, let me thank you, Dubliner editorial staff, for your profound stupidity!  Now prepare to watch your EU team get the snot kicked out of them, on the scoreboard of course!
