Open Letter To Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie, I have to say that I really enjoyed your long ago TV talk show...that is, before you tested the waters with your "marriage" in San Francisco, and especially before you joined The View.  Rosie, I am going to address you from the standpoint of a former Democrat who was never quite a liberal, but was raised in the Los Angeles "culture", i.e. The Land Of Fruits and Nuts.  I was raised with the mindset of "why do they/he/she/whomever" think/act etc., the way they do...Okay?  It's the old "boo hoo, why do they hate us?  Why do they want to kill us" syndrome you lefties are stricken with, you know?

So, from that vantage point, I understand that you are harboring anger against God for having taken your mother from you at a vulnerable age.  That having been said, I still do NOT understand why you would say this;

O’Donnell: "And just one second, radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America."

Your mom died of breast cancer, right?

Rosie's mother died on March 17, 1972 four days before Rosie's 11th birthday. Her family never talked about her death. Rosie didn't even know what she had died of (breast cancer) until she was 16.

You were raised Catholic, and your mother dies very young.  You are still angry at God.  Okay.  Got it.

So what in your life told you that Christians could be equated with the Islamofacists of today?  Please do not use Tim McVey as your example, because there are too many reasons to believe he was trained by al Qaeda.

Rosie, I just have to ask, when have Christians attacked America, or any other country in the world?  Are you so angry at God that you could be so blind?  What has America ever done to you to make you hate her so much?  It seems to me that America has given you an abundant life, despite your resentments and anger.  Do you not recognize that?

As much as my "liberal" side tries to understand you, I just cannot understand why you would denigrate our great nation the way you do...and I doubt your dear departed mother would understand it any better than I do.

Do you not understand that 2 countries, 50 million people, have been released from the bondage of women having to be considered "half" a person?  I just cannot justify or understand your antipathy.  It makes no sense.
