The difference between then and now?  My friends were treated with similar epithets, and some were treated with a cocktail of vomit, urine and fecal matter showered upon them as they exited their military buses in San Francisco as they were headed for a plane to return to their home state.  The worse violence I ever heard of, from my friends, were an occasional pop can tossed at them from a moving car.  This degree of violence was unheard of in the 60's and 70's, despite the lies from John sKerry.  The left has become so virulently enraged today, that they dare to make such an attack on an American Hero!  This outrage points out what my niece stated in her recent comment here. 

The left in this country is suffering from a mental illness rooted in the hatred of our president....which is really a hatred of our country!  Our Constitution was a Divine inspired document.  They have been trying successfully to countermand for it for 4 decades, with an unelected judiciary, They hate the Constitution and its use of "God". They hate our country,they hate our success and prosperity!  They have been forcing God out of the country He inspired for too many years!

I swore I would do everything in my power to keep this sort of thing from happening to our heroes of today.  I feel so helpless in counteracting the insanity of a left gone off the deep end!  I blame the media for misleading the populace, and I blame our blindness to the machinations and lies they have been perpetrating on our country my entire life!  As I reach the last year my age will begin with a "5", I realize that there is still much to do to keep our country from disappearing into the dustbin of history.
