You have GOT to be kidding!
"Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR, believes Bush should not even mention Islam when referring to the would-be terrorists.
"We have to isolate these individuals because there is nothing in the Koran or the Islamic faith that encourages people to be cruel or to be vicious or to be criminal," Awad said. "Muslims world wide know that for sure."
Really? Should not mention Islam? The reason for that would be......? Just because the suspects were all Muslim, Islam should not be mentioned? It's about dadgum time President Bush put a name to those we are at war against! It's about time that we stopped calling them "terrorists" when that is merely the preferred weapon employed by Islamofacists.
Mr. Awad, when you and other Muslims disavow the actions of those who kill innocent people in the name of Allah, perhaps we will feel a bit more inclined to give you some latitude. In the meantime, until or unless you call them the murdering evildoers they are, just exactly why in the name of Hell-they-are-about-to-populate, would we agree not to notice what religion they claim as their own?

The group says American reporters should adopt the policies of the British media when identifying suspected terrorists."
Start a religious war, Mr. Awad? You mean like the religious war Hezbollah, Hamas, and Ahmadinejad have called against Israel? Or how about the religious war bin Ladin declared on the United States 9/11/01? The truth is, Sir, we are in a religious war against a radical Islam that wants to bring about the destruction of the country you call home, Mr. Awad! How dare you? How dare you have any complaint? You live in the greatest country God ever created, and Americans have and are trying desperately to keep from falling into the hands of people like your fellow Muslims. If you are not an Islamofacist, why are you not also calling for their destruction? Why are you not screaming at the top of your lungs for them to stop killing innocent Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, or India, or Bali, or Darfur?
After all, there are some truths about your religion you'd just as soon we did not widely realize!

"Islam is a political religion in a way that none other is," said Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum and author of "Militant Islam Reaches America." "There are many elements within the religion and the history of Islam that suggest there is a dynamic of conquest.
"There is something inherently expansionist about Islam," Pipes continued. "Jihad is expansionist warfare."
Pipes praised Bush specifically for his use of the phrase "Islamic fascists."

I think that Neil Boortz got it right yesterday on his show.
Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists seem to be Muslims. (At least lately that is.)
Until the Muslim community, of which Mr. Awad seems to be a prominent member, gets their stuff together and decides to work WITH us he and the rest of his community should get used to us being a little more concerned about someone that declares themself to be a follower of Islam.
It sure seems to me that the Muslim community is starting to be fostering the stereotype that's plagued African Americans in this country. He wants to follow the lead of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson rather than Bill Cosby or Reggie White. Once the MAJORITY of legitimate imams and Muslim leaders make a stand with US against the dehumanizing factions within their own sect, they are going to be looked upon as suspects and potential threats to our own well being.
As I often do, I'll quote Edmund Burke...
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
It's time for a few good men who profess, practice, and live good Muslim lives to step up to the plate and assist us in rounding up those that are polluting their faith.
