A Busy Day Can Keep You Sane

After 5 years of being "retired", going back to work was a God-send to me today.  Between volunteering (a board meeting) and job responsibilities, my day was full enough to help me to consider this post more fully before actually posting on the day's news.  I am so grateful for the efforts of security forces both here in the U.S. and in UK.  They were able to interdict this potentially horrendous activity by the Islamofacists.

What made my day was the actual use of the word "Islamofacists" in the discussions I heard on the news and on the various talk shows I was able to catch in the car as I sped about doing what I needed to do.  It's about dadgum time I heard "Islamofacist" in place of the word "terrorists" or "terrorism", because it is finally being called what it should be called.  Terrorism is a tactic, not a movement.  Islamofacists use terrorism as their weapon of choice, of necessity, and as I said in an earlier post, their "WMD", to defeat the world as we know it.  All of the MSM fails to call what is going on by its true name!  The left's hand-wringing on "why do they hate us" misses the real threat; Islamofacism.

As expected, the left discounts the threat we are up against.  They prefer to hate Bush, rather than hate the real enemy.  While Greta is discussing tonight whether this is truely "al Qaeda" or not, she, like most pundits, do not see that it matters not whether it is al Qaeda, or Hezbollah, or Hamas, or any of the other so-called "terror" groups out there in the world.  The Islamofacists worldwide are preaching the same hatred of Jews and America, and any democratic effort that seeks to give people the freedom to decide their lives for themselves.  Their goal is extremist Shari'ia law.  Freedom be damned.  No matter the name, it's all the same:  Islamofacism.

    Dagney...

I have to agree that it was indeed a good day when we can round up a bunch of "baddies" that had murder in their hearts before they were able to pull the trigger. However, I continue to remain cynical about how serious "we" are in this fight for civilization. On the one hand, we've got something on the order of 70 people in custody around the world...but there are countless millions that are now super inconvenienced when it comes to traveling by air.

In our predictable "knee jerk" reaction style...in the UK, you're able to walk onto a plane with little more than what you're wearing. (Note...not a horrible thing in my book, but my disdain and concern for carry-on luggage has nothing to do with security.) In our country, at least for the time being we're simply being told we can't carry anything liquid on an aircraft. (Did anyone note that one of the @ssh@ts had an all access pass for the Heathrow Airport and could be counted upon to perhaps "pre-position" materials and equipment past security checkpoints?)

In my opinion, the ISLAMO-FASCISTS may in fact have won this round in the continuing global war on terror. We have to remember that one of the stated goals from Osama is that he intends to take down our economy...as the lynchpin to taking down our way of life. It's hard to say whether "they" hate our lifestyle as it conflicts with their beliefs OR whether they're simply jealous of our progress and advancement, but it's clear that we must take this threat very seriously.

We're not going to win this war by reacting to every twist in terrorist tactics.

If you lived in a neighborhood where a dog was allowed to run loose, dig up your flower beds, bite and nip at your children and poop on your lawn...would you feel compelled to build a fence to keep the dog out? No, more likely than not you'd tell the dog's owner to keep him tied up or otherwise confined...call animal control...or like here in Texas, you might just simply shoot the dog and toss it on the neighbor's lawn (after giving ample warning).

That's EXACTLY what we need to get across to those nations that are turning a blind eye to the threat to the West. Either you take care of the problem....or we will. And by the way, we'll shoot as accurately as we can, but we can't promise there won't be collateral damage and civilian casualties.

See you on the high ground and remain vigilant!
