Boy, are the moonbats on a roll after their defeat of Lieberman?  Wow!  Are they great, or what?  They are just absolutely positive they are on the same trail many were on in the 70's, and they are ecstatic!  They can turn public opinion against the war, and then we'll leave the Middle East just like we left Viet Nam!  They're digging out their tye dye, polishing up the anti-war signs, and will be heading for the street!  It didn't take them long for them to congratulate their followers and begin to gear up for the road ahead;   [hat tip:  GOPbloggers]

It's a big day. Last night, people-powered politics proved the pundits wrong. Riding a wave of voter revolt against Iraq and the Bush administration, Ned Lamont beat Joe Lieberman.

It's been a long six years. But things are beginning to change. Our nation is waking up from the long nightmare of the Bush presidency.

So today, take a moment to celebrate. And then, let's roll up our sleeves and do nationally what we did together last night in Connecticut."

Never did it occur to these wingnuts that they have just awakened the mainstream Democrat members who are fully behind WINNING this war!  They have just given away the extent of their nuttiness, and it's going to take a serious bite out of their fannies in November.  If they think "cut and run" is going to work again in America, after what folks of their ilk did to my generation when they came home from Nam before the job is done, they're totally up in the night! 

They have changed only one tactic from their heydays in the 70's, and that came in the form of a comment in Ned Lamont's acceptance statement wherein he calls for "bringing our troops home to a hero's welcome".  What these nutcases do not understand is that you do not call an American soldier, airman, marine, sailor, or anyone serving any branch of service, home from an assignment before the assignment is finished and expect him/her to feel like a hero, no matter how they are greeted!  Anyone with the love of this country in their heart and soul understands that, and they will remember it when they go to the polls in November.  So let's just stand back and watch their nuttiness escalate, and see them lose more seats in November!
