Perspectives And Observations In Iraq

ITM's Omar explains who is to blame for the sectarian death and destruction in Iraq.  He also explains what may be the real reason Saddam is being treated;

"In his statement Mr. Jubori said that Sunni political and religious leaderships were wrong when they prohibited Sunni men from enlisting in the Iraqi police and army (Arabic audio available).

I realize that most of you do not know Arabic so I'm going to pick excerpts from that statement, in a part I found interesting Mr. Jubori said:

Sunni political powers now demand that American troops remain in Iraq for some time…the American forces represent a balancing element between the people and the security forces that are not balanced in their sectarian composition…the Americans should work on correcting this imbalance.
[…]
Harith al-Dhari is responsible for 50% of Sunni deaths in Iraq, the Americans are responsible for 25% and the Shia militias are responsible for the other 25% and this is something that most Sunnis admit…"

Can you imagine old Sadman's face when he learned the Sunnis are calling for Americans to remain in Iraq?  They're saying it's a hunger strike, but I'm thinking he may not be able to keep anything on his stomach!  awwwww....poor thing!  LOL

The rest of his post seems to explain this apparent tit for tat.  The attack in Baghdad was in a Shi'ia neighborhood, and Kirkuk is a Sunni stronghold!  The one thing that bothers me about the two attacks is the timing.  Who is to say this wasn't perpetrated by al Zarqawi's buddies' in al Qaeda to make it appear as the scenario Omar puts forth in the aforementioned post?  They have more at stake in the failure of an Iraq democracy than do the Sunnis or Shi'ias.

    Everytime Omar or Mohammed write a new post, I cannot wait to read it. It has become very heartbreaking and sometimes refreshing to learn what is actually happening in Iraq.

    I happen to agree with Omar on this latest post. Do you remember the man they had over there before Paul Bremmer? Yeah, well he was attempting to do exactly what Omar was suggesting, but the Rats had a fit.

    Therefore we ended up with some beaurocrat from the state dept. This angers me to no end. I want to see foggy bottom put out of business!

    Given an opportunity, they will screw it up each and every time.

    Hi! How are you? You keep doing what you're doing. Maybe here's an idea for ya: Go buy some really good food, then take it to that place by the boardwalk and order something to drink. Just a thought...LOL.
