Did You Hear? We're Winning In Iraq!

Yep, we are!  That is, according to what Zarqawi was saying before his timely demise.  Here's a sample;

"However, here in Iraq, time is now beginning to be of service to the American forces and harmful to the resistance for the following reasons:

1) By allowing the American forces to form the forces of the National Guard, to reinforce them and enable them to undertake military operations against the resistance.

2) By undertaking massive arrest operations, invading regions that have an impact on the resistance, and hence causing the resistance to lose many of its elements.

3) By undertaking a media campaign against the resistance resulting in weakening its influence inside the country and presenting its work as harmful to the population rather than being beneficial to the population.

4) By tightening the resistance's financial outlets, restricting its moral options and by confiscating its ammunition and weapons. "

Go read the rest, because you certainly will not see it in MSM coverage!

    Dittos, Dagney. That document you cite is pretty revealing, isn't it?

    Funny thing about how the media covers this war. They forget that wars aren't won by the side that makes no mistakes, but by the side that makes the fewest. This may sound obvious but it's true.

    Look at WWII. We screwed up so many things it's unbelieveable; tanks that were deathtraps, torpedoes that didn't work, bad intel (Tarawa, Operation Market Garden), screwed up operations (Anzio), mediocre generals (Mark Clark), on and on I could go. We even allied ourselves with a mass-murderer(Stalin). But in the end the Japanese and Germans made more mistakes than we did.

    So many today seeminly cannot understand this.

    The document you quote, and others that we have captured tell the same story; al-Qaeda is deeply worried that they are losing. With all the bombings and this and that we forget that if you look at things from their perspective, it looks pretty bleak.

    Think about it; try as they might, al-Qaeda has not been able to prevent elections, a constitution, the formation of a new Iraqi Army, the formation of a govenment, defeat President Bush inh 2004, nor chase us out of Iraq. That's not a good track record.

    I've read the whole thing. We've arrested over 700 anti-Iraqis, killed over 104, and collected much more raw data. I just hope it is true date.

    They are cunning rats. The raw data contains names, locations, 'safe' houses, etc. I hope they crush them all, instead of releasing them! Grr.
