Who Cares?
Excuse me, you so-called journalists! But will you please tell me why you are interested in HOW Zarqawi died? If his head was still attached to his body, if his body was still capable of trying to roll off a guerney and escape his Iraqi and American captors, then he must have been in much better condition than his victims!
Live blogging press coverage of report: As they begin the morning military briefing, spokesman explains; from the time of military arriving, and loading him on the guerney, medics cleared his airway, at which time he expelled blood. He'd suffered massive internal injuries. [If you were in the basement of a home when it got hit with two 500# bombs, you would too!] Two board certified forensic pathologists have done autopsies on this animal. The DNA results assured us that it is, indeed the carcass of Zarqawi. "Definitive: team of five performed".... World's most experienced experts." "Standard forensic autopsy", with "samples taken for toxicology". Injuries sustained by Zarqawi, "non-displaced fracture in the leg, no bullet holes or other external injury other than caused by shrapnel and debris. "Closed space primary blast injury from the bomb to the lungs, not immediately fatal". "Lung function deteriorated." Shrapnel and other debris injuries appeared on the body.
As all are panting with anticipation of finishing this autopsy report on Zarqawi, they're waiting with bated breathe to begin asking their stupid questions! I just wonder how many of these same so-called journalists will stop to consider what this pseudo-human [thanks, Alaa] has done to innocent Iraqis? No. They're asking if he was "beaten"? How many have lost limbs in car bombs because of him? No. They're asking why it took 28 minutes for American ground troops arrive. How many have lost their heads? No. They want an exact timeline! These questions are unbelievable! Was Zarqawi dressed when the autopsy began? What the hell kind of idiotic question is that? Did he have on a suicide belt? Have you people not learned? The likes of Zarqawi and bin Ladin do not put on that kind of garb? They ask others to do it, but they wouldn't consider it! Is it any wonder most of America has turned off the news, stopped reading newspapers, and altogether stopped giving these morons in the press absolutely any credibility?

It is of interest to me because of my medical background and because I wanted to know how long he survived realizing he was mortally wounded. He had almost an hour to think about his undoing. I spent my working years trying to save lives and I am glad his life was not saved. After the human misery he has caused-the pain of those killed and maimed and those who loved the victims and still mourn- I am glad he had that hour to experience fear and pain. I am glad he appeared to recognize American marines. I am glad the autopsy showed no bullets and no bruising from being beaten so that the tale told by the "neighbor" can not take roots to again malign our marines.

I like it all!
While I wish we would have captured him alive and more intact...not so we could bring him back and give him a show trial...but so we could find out EVERYTHING about his murderous organization, I won't second guess the operators on the ground that carried out the mission.
The idea of the special ops boys giving this @ssh@t a beating is laughable. I'm sure that he had better care more quickly than if you or I tangled with a telephone pole. If they could have kept him alive for interrogation, I'm sure they would have.
See you on the high ground!
