Internet Down!
I've been down since yesterday, and they were kind enough to get someone out late yesterday afternoon. When he'd finally narrowed down the problem, he found it in the attic. With 100 degree temperatures in South Texas, the attic was probably 150 degrees. I didn't remind him that our troops have been in 140 degree weather in Iraq in full body armor, but maybe I should have because he told me he couldn't complete the fix, it would have to be done early in the morning, and the person originally scheduled to come Saturday morning would have to change out the cable.
Apparently the cable they installed when the house was built was a) too small to contain both cable TV and internet indefinitely. It has a life span of 10 years, and our house is 12 years old! It also was not made to accommodate internet capability. So I expected a man with cable to show up at my house this MORNING! The poor technician who turned up late today learned that the hard way when he announced he was a "technician" and not an "installer".
He did manage to get me back online "for now", but they cannot get an "installer" out until next Friday. My husband is trying to figure out a trip to anywhere, just in case it goes out again between now and next Friday!

I know exactly what you mean. Blogger has been messing with me ALL WEEK. I even started looking around! If I could have access to the html, I might even...gasp...pay for it. Just so I can have everything the way I freakin' want it.
I figure if it's free, I can't really complain. (I do anyway. lol) I will keep you in my prayers. I know the feeling of being stranded...
